Remember when you first heard that Sonic Youth had this bizarro side project called Ciccone Youth, and you immediately ran to the record store to get it, only to find out that it's about forty minutes of Thurston and Mike Watt dicking around with an 8-track and a beat box? Well, Zambri is what Ciccone Youth should have sounded like! Absolutely dirty guitar howls are jiggered to an electronic beat, synth, and a clubby 80's approach to vocals. It's like vintage Madonna went on tour with Sonic Youth as a backing band. You won't be able to decide whether to dance or mosh, but you'll definitely be hooked.
